Samsung Galaxy S24 series’ key display specs revealed

A new report coming from a reputable source for Samsung-related leaks suggest that the company will bring the Galaxy S24, S24+ and 24 Ultra closer together, display-wise. Apparently, the Korean tech giant has decided to incorporate its latest and greatest tech into all three models, not just the Ultra as was the norm in previous years.

The post on X (formerly known as Twitter) reveals that all three models will feature LTPO, M13 displays with 2,500 nits of peak brightness. Up until now, only the Ultra members had LTPO panels and was able to reach higher brightness.

For the next generation the only difference will be the vanilla Galaxy S24’s display resolution and obviously the size of the three.

This means variable refresh rate will finally be available on the non-Ultra models, but the 2,500 nits peak brightness likely refers to the panels’ ability to boost brightness when playing HDR-compatible content. Still, that value is pretty impressive.

This is an welcome shift in strategy as the Galaxy S24 and S24+ are still considered flagship phones, so offering the best of what Samsung makes all the sense in the world.
